Your role

Are you interested in Strategic Risk Management? Do you have a fascination for Modern Tech and Cloud Solutions and want to help UBS build resilience against inherent risks?

We’re looking for someone like that to:

• continuously drive the adoption of modern tech solutions to make the bank safe for clients and resilient against risks
• help with the execution of transformation tasks and support the creation of workflows in GitLab
• use data analytics to help identify and facilitate any inter-dependencies within the department.
• understand the relevant data and create meaningful reports for our internal clients to drive prioritization of work
• create an environment where we all truly understand technology risks and are focusing discussions with the lens of agreed risk appetite
• support the teams Information Security Officer in reviewing approvals and setting best practices

Internship
Our 5-6 month internship is an ideal way to gain the work experience you’ll need to launch your career. It’s also an opportunity to work with and learn from some of our sharp people in finance.

From the start of the program, you’ll be right at the heart of the business, taking part in the day-to-day operations. You’ll not only learn about the business of finance from top to bottom, you’ll also experience our unique workplace culture.

Your team

You’ll be working in the Strategic Risk Management team in Zurich with exposure to the Integration team and Information Security Risk. We are an international and open minded team that has members all over the world and works collaboratively on tasks. We are always happy to welcome someone new to the team and occasionally go out for after work drinks.

Your expertise

You need to have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master’s degree within the last 6 months.

In particular, you have:

• good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
• know-how gained from experience (or internship) in Risk Management, Consulting, Banking or similar
• at least four semesters at a university, preferably with a focus on business administration, banking and finance, economics or similar
• sharp analytical and problem solving skills
• a structured work style, confident working autonomously
• good judgment when dealing with sensitive information

Perhaps you’ve organized a fundraising event or taken part in team sports? Or persevered and passed an exam in a subject you found challenging? Think about how things you’ve achieved match the skills we’re after.
